One of
the oldest and tidiest waterfronts one can find is Lunenburg,
Nova Scotia. Its colorful heritage buildings line the busy
waterfront. Its tree lined streets and graceful hills are
adorned by gorgeous and unique architecture. In recognition
of its special significance to world history dating back
to 1753, UNESCO has designated this town a World Heritage
Site. Illustrated here are (from the left) Zion Lutheran
Church, St. John's Anglican (being rebuilt to its original
beauty after being razed by fire in 1999), and St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church with its cod fish weather vane. Also
included in this scene are people and things personal to
me, such as my two children biking along the waterfront
followed by our two dogs, and trying to keep up is yours
truly, me, etc. This painting took seventy hours to complete.
All reproductions
