I grew
up in Halifax quite fascinated by the huge harbour and all
its busy traffic. I can't really explain why I have a thing
for tugboats, but I love them. Like mighty draft horses,
tugs are the image of controlled strength and dignified
power. They provide an essential service to all ships in
the port, no matter the weather or dilemma. They work both
independently and as a team. They are in the business of
helping. This painting took about forty-five hours to complete.
Private Collection.
