I have long
been fascinated by the sky. I often find myself studying the
clouds as I drive. I am particularly moved at sunset when
the beauty of the day exclaims itself in wondrous color. I've
dedicated this painting to my grandmother who passed away
before it was finished. In her final years she was blind and
not very mobile, but keen of mind. When I started this painting
I described in detail the water and sky to her. They brought
back great memories of our many day trips together - and,
for me, this painting always will. I miss you, Nana.
